This is just a small list of things to think of when having a pig roast or bbq gathering. Things that we do and things that you need to do or think about before you schedule.
We only cook the food we provide. I know where my products come from , and i do not want to be associated with, or blamed for any inferior quality products.
All whole hogs are typically cooked from raw to finish on site. However, if you prefer we can cook the pig at our facility and either deliver it to you, or you can pick it up from us. Great BBQ takes time, depending on the size of hog you need us to cook, it can take anywhere from 8-12 hours and up. We do our best to estimate what time the hog will finish cooking based on experience, but the hog will tell us when its done. please be patient.
We will need around a 20 x 12 area free of obstructions to cook and have our set up in. The cooker is shown on the home page, if we can get it into your yard near our set up that is perfect, if its in the drive way that works for us too. but not down the street. The pig is heavy and its hard to keep an eye on it from a distance. We need to have the cooker at least 8-10 feet from any flammable substances. We can not put the cooker in any buildings or on any thing that can catch fire.
If your serving time brings us too your venue before daylight or keeps us after dusk we will need some sort of electric hook up. I have shown up at a pig roast as early as 5 am to start the cooking process . We will bring our own lighting systems.
We do ask that guests do not open the cooker at any time. The cooker is very hot and can injure and burn anyone unfamiliar with its operation. Please remember "if your lookin' your not cookin" Every time we have to open the cooker it adds more time to the cooking of the hog.
Children are very curious, please keep them away from the cooker, its hot and will burn them very quickly.
We will provide all our own tables and such for the carving of the hog, We do not provide tables or set up for the party, or the food table for the party. We will set out our food on your table and refill pans as necessary.
Please keep all pets away from the cooking area, the last thing we need is dog hair mixed in the great BBQ we have been creating for the last 12 hours. We do offer the feet, ears, and tail (if attached) for any animal treats if you see fit.
The customer is responsible for any park fees or permits required depending on the venue.
A 50% deposit is required. A complete quote and a "terms and contract" agreement will be sent to you to sign and return to us with your deposit before your party is considered booked.
The GIGGLY PIG BBQ TEAM and the customer are REQUIRED to have a great time!
